Tusome is built in Kenya, for Kenyan families. This page says what we keep when you sign up, why we keep it, and how to get it removed. We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we keep

• Your email. To open the account and to sign you back in with a code. We don't ask for a password.
• Your child's grade. Grade 7, 8 or 9, so they get the right lessons.
• What they've covered. Which lessons were opened and for how long, so you can see how it's going without asking.

We don't ask for your child's name, their school, an ID number, or any payment details.

What we don't do

• We don't sell email addresses or anything else to anyone.
• We don't give your email to advertisers.
• We don't use your email for anything except signing you in and telling you about your child's account.

What we measure

We track how this page gets used, like which sections get read and whether the demo gets tried, so we can tell what's working. That's tied to your visit, not to you by name, unless you go on to sign up.

Whose account it is

The account belongs to whoever confirms the email, whether that's a parent, a guardian, or another adult who looks after the learner. The lessons are used by the learner.

How long we keep it

We keep it for as long as the account is in use. Ask us to delete your account and we will, apart from anything the law requires us to hold on to.

Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see what we hold about your account, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we'll answer.
